G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment Program is located in North Miami Beach, Florida. Surrounded by the warmth of the sun and lush tropical breezes clients come to escape from the clutches of the disease of addiction .

G&G has learned from their many years of experience treating addiction that the best way to ensure a successful treatment outcome is to remove the person from the people, places and things associated with their addiction.

This reduces distractions and gives the individual an opportunity to fully engage in treatment and to learn the coping skills necessary to stay clean and sober when they return to their home environment. Their clients come from all over the country and world seeking a program to give them the solid foundation on which to recover, to begin a life free from mood altering substances.

They have over 23 years in the business of helping addicts and alcoholics to recover from their addictions. G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment Program is also fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations- the Gold standard in Health Care Quality Assurance.

Practical Methods for Treating Depression and Substance Abuse Simultaneously.

by Holistic Lifestyles Radio on Oct.29, 2010, under Home

The National Institute For Holistic Addiction Studies (NIFHAS) reviewed outcomes of four substance abuse treatment participants who had participated in the program Drumming Off Drugs™ as part of their treatment experience. Specifically, we looked at changes in the Depression Scores using Becks Depression Inventory prior to the 10 session drumming class and then after completion of at least 8 of the 10 sessions.

Practical Methods for Treating Depression and Substance Abuse Simultaneously. There is significant evidence that co-occurrence of depression and substance abuse is prevalent among inpatient drug rehabilitation clients. Treatment paradigms for drug abuse range widely, and include pharmacologic, cognitive, and holistic approaches, and there is growing interest in programs that integrate these various methods to treat both the depression and substance abuse concurrently.

Rhythmic group drumming as a rehabilitative therapy modality has recently been bolstered by key scientific findings of interactions between music/drumming activity and the release of neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin. Music therapy in general has been gaining in popularity in recent years. Drumming is effective for improving concentration, a sense of connectedness to others and self-esteem in recovery populations.

Drumming represents a music therapy that requires limited fine motor coordination, is readily learned by all populations (normal and disabled) and all ages in a very short period of time, and that does not require significant expense. Rhythmic drumming also slows brain wave activity similar to meditation. allowing a more open dialogue during treatment. This is a very useful and powerful state of mind for a recovering addict. Drumming Off Drugs is believed to be a particularly useful therapeutic tool for improving substance abuse rehabilitation outcomes and recovery resiliency.

Drug Rehab Centers Reduce Stress Though Sound « Holistic Lifestyles Radio

Drug Rehab Centers Reduce Stress Though Sound « Holistic Lifestyles Radio
Sound Pillow -Drug Rehab Centers Reduce Stress Though Sound.
Sound Pillow represents another way in which the philosophy of holistic healing is used to support the physical, mental and spiritual growth for addicts. Healing Sound Pillow uses a pillow to reproduce sound from any listening device to help addicts to reduce stress and create a sense of balance within and around them. Traditional spiritual and healing practices have recognized the power of sound for thousands of years. Chants, church bells, drumbeats and sung or spoken rituals have been used to alter moods, create different energy states and to facilitate communication with spiritual powers throughout history.
All these practitioners have intuitively understood that sound represents energy, energy which can be transmitted and used by humans to reach higher levels of health and consciousness. Practitioners of this ancient ritual enjoy a more complete relaxation and deeper focus during meditation, resulting in greater levels of stress release.
